The University of Gdansk announced the opening of 4 new degree courses for 2018/2019 academic year. Two of the new courses have English as the language of instruction. Thanks to this, more international students will be able to study in Tricity.
University of Gdansk
The University of Gdansk is the biggest humanistic university in Tricity. Its history dates back to the 1970’s. The university originates from an economic school and a pedagogical school, which is visible in its humanistic profile. Nowadays, nearly 30.000 people study at this university.
Degree courses in 2018/2019
On the 20th of June the application process for the university begins. Future students will be able to choose from 78 degree courses and 223 specializations. Courses involve both daily and external studies. At the university, students can obtain both bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
What is more, the school offers doctoral studies as well as postgraduate courses.
New degree courses
In the upcoming academic year the University of Gdansk opens 4 new degree courses. Two of them have Polish as the language of instruction and two have English:
– Natural Assets’ Protection (Bachelor’s studies in Polish) at the Department of Biology.
– Genetics and Experimental Biology (Bachelor’s studies in Polish) at the Department of Biology.
– Intercultural and Business Relations in Europe (Bachelor’s studies in English) at the Department of Economy, the Department of Philology, and the Department of Social Studies.
– Cultural Communication (Bachelor’s and Master’s studies in English) at the Department of Philology.
With these new courses, the University of Gdansk is meeting the needs of the work market. The new courses are being created by the university in cooperation with experts and future employers. What is more, students will receive the opportunity to participate in internships at profiled institutions and companies.
