This year’s Open’er Festival was the biggest one in history. As always, it was also unforgettable and full of great energy both from the musicians and their fans! Here is our summary of the festival.
Sold-out edition
More than 140 thousand people visited the 17th Open’er Festival during 4 days of the event. It was the first time ever that the Open’er was completely sold out. Each day the crowd was getting bigger and bigger. Also, for the first time, there was no rain. Thankfully the weather was perfect: only sun and wind.
Headliners of Open’er Festival 2018
The main reason for such a huge audience was the attractive line-up. This year British bands Arctic Monkeys, Depeche Mode and Gorillaz, as well as American singer Bruno Mars, were the headliners of the Open’er Festival. They all performed at the Orange Main Stage and gathered thousands of people. Each concert definitely satisfied the fans who couldn’t wait to see their idols. Legendary Depeche Mode proved that after so many years they are still one of the best bands that ever existed. Dave Gahan, the frontman, amazed everyone with his powerful, unique voice and sang their most recognizable songs.
The last headliner, Bruno Mars, closed the festival with a spectacular performance full of dancing and special effects. The well-known showman definitely proved his skills.
Orange Main Stage and Tent Stage concerts
Not only did Headliners give amazing concerts, but also other fantastic, well-known artists from all over the world. Thanks to a huge variety of musicians, everyone could find something interesting. Some concerts were more chilled, others were full of power, but in general, people had so much fun dancing and singing to their favorite artists. Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, David Byrne, Kaleo, MØ, Years&Years, Massive Attack, Vince Staples and Odesza were some of those who gave the most memorable, amazing gigs. Not to forget about Polish artists like Dawid Podsiadło, Taconafide, Otsochodzi, Ørganek or Bass Astral X Igo Orchestra.
