Remember about the time change this weekend!

In Gdansk, Gdynia, General

This weekend in the whole country of Poland there will be a change from standard time into summer time. Don’t forget to adjust your clocks!

Adjust your clocks!

When the clock will hit 2:00 am on Sunday morning the time will be pushed one hour ahead and we’ll arrive at 3:00 am as a result. Most electronic timers in our mobiles, computers and other gadgets should make the change automatically when the correct timezone is chosen. We will need to adjust manually the traditional clocks and watches though.

One hour less…

The change means one hour of sleep less. Hopefully, most of us can sleep long on Sunday morning. Some may find the thought of daylight till late evening comforting, yet others feel that all these time changes just cause disorder of the daily rhythm and decrease in productivity.

The end of time changing?

The latter will be happy to know the on 26th of March this year the European Commission has backed the proposal to stop the time change from the year 2021. So now Poland along with other states of the EU will have to decide whether to stay in the permanent summer time or winter time.

But until that is decided and we will say good-bye to the time changes, please remember to switch into daylight saving time this weekend.
