Open’er Festival 2017

In Entertainment, Gdynia, Lifestyle

The Open’er Festival 2017 has gathered more than 120 thousand of people! This is a proof the weather isn’t an obstacle for those who love music, art and fashion. Even the rain, cold and wind didn’t stop anyone from having fun.

Marvellous emotions and joyful time during the concerts

Every edition of the Open’er Festival attracts fans of different music genres. “We don’t need no encore, we can play as long as we want” – said Dave Grohl, the frontman of the rock band Foo Fighters. Their 2,5-hour concert consisted of about 20 songs and guest appearance of Alison Mosshart from The Kills. This show has made people ask themselves if it wasn’t the best concert in the history of the Open’er Festival. Another band on the Orange Main Stage – Radiohead celebrated the 20th anniversary of their album “OK Computer”. Instead of playing biggest hits, they presented different stages of their activity.

Young artists with worldwide career

What most people enjoyed were the acts of younger generation of artists. The crowds of fans gathered at the Orange Main Stage and Tent Stage to see some of the most successful musicians nowadays. Thousands of people greeted international artists like Mac Miller, The Weeknd or Dua Lipa with enthusiasm and also Polish –  Taco Hemingway, Brodka and others.

Fashion – raincoats and wellingtons

Open’er Festival is an event known not only for its music, but also fashion. People always try to stand out from the crowd by wearing fancy clothes. This year it was slightly harder because of the cheap replica watches weather. Almost everyone showed up in a colorful raincoat. Women’s hair was mostly styled in braids and makeup was often glittery and shiny. Also, it’s been 8 years since the Fashion Stage has occured. Fashion designers have opportunity to sell their clothes and show them on the catwalk.

See you next year at the Open’er Festival!
