How to spend the weekend in Tricity? – It is a series of articles on Tricity News. We publish information about upcoming events for each weekend. From a great variety of different events happening in the area every week, we are choosing those which in our opinion are the most interesting for foreigners in the area.

Whole weekend

Traditionally, the Musical Theatre in Gdynia invites for weekend shows. This time, the audience will enjoy the world famous Notre Dame de Paris show with English subtitles. Check the official website of the theatre for tickets for all four shows this weekend.

The Baltic Opera in Gdansk presents a new show “Thaïs” by Jules Massenet. The premiere takes place on Friday at 7:00 pm. The opera will repeat the show two more times during the weekend. The tickets are available at the official website of The Baltic Opera in Gdansk.

Plants enthusiasts may enjoy the Third International “World of Orchids” fair. The event will take place in Hala 100-lecia at Jakuba Goyki 7 street in Sopot. The event starts on Friday and will finish on Sunday. Each day the fair is open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. The tickets at the price of 10 to 25 PLN are available online or at the entrance to the venue.

The Shakespear’s Theatre in Gdansk invites for guided tours around the building. The tours are both in Polish and English and take 60 minutes. Tickets are available online as well as in ticket offices of the theatre.

Friday

Torus, a developer of Alchemia office center invites for the fifth edition of Torus Triathlon In Da House. The event is a great opportunity to integrate business representatives while participating in a sport competition. More information about Torus Triathlon In Da House on Tricity News.

Gdynia Arena and Visual Production invite for a concert of film and epic music. CoOperate Orchestra together with the Academic Choire will perform spectacular and epic pieces. Videos and visualizations will add to an unforgettable experience. Find out more at the official Facebook event. Tickets in prices from 55 to 145 PLN are available online at Bilety24.pl. Saturday

Bunkier club in Gdansk invites for PRL party. A carnival event in the atmosphere of communism times in Poland will definitely give you a good feeling of Polish history. Entrance costs 15 PLN unless you dress up. Those dressed in style of Polish ’60s, ’70s or ’80s enter for free.

Sunday

Blues Club in Gdynia invites for a concert of Basia Kawa. Her hypnothising voice in connection with surprising sounds of elecric violin create an unforgettable mixture. Basia will perform together with a band at 7:30 pm. Tickets in price of 25 PLN are available through the official website of Blues Club or in the club.

Sport

On Saturday at 5:00 pm, fans of hockey may come to Hala Olivia to support GKS Stoczniowiec in their match against TMH Polonia Bytom. This is the grand finale of Polish Championships in women’s hockey. The entrance is free.

The hockey emotions will continue a day after when MH Automatyka Gdansk will host GKS Tychy. The tickets for the match are in price of 10 and 20 PLN.
