A new shopping mall in Gdansk Wrzeszcz

More than 100 new shops are located in Metropolia shopping mall which was opened last Saturday. During the weekend, there were contests, shows and attractions.

Changes in Wrzeszcz

Throughout recent years, huge changes can be observed in the area of Wrzeszcz in Gdansk. Construction of Neptun Office Building, reconstruction of Wajdeloty street and Gdansk’s Brewery investment are just a few examples. Besides, a train station was re-arranged becoming one of the most important stations in Tricity, joining SKM trains, metropolitan trains and long distance PKP trains. One of the biggest investments was Metropolia shopping mall, opened last weekend.

Metropolia mall in numbers

Newly opened shopping mall has more than 100 shops, a cinema with 7 halls, 1600 parking spaces, a modern fitness club, bars, restaurants, cafe’s and many more. The mall has 33 700 m2 of commercial area. The mall consists also of the interior-decoration area which has around 8 000 m2 and a huge playground for kids.

Variety of brands

As for now, the most important brands located in Metropolia mall are for example Media Expert, Puma, Monnari, KiK, Pepko or Apart. Additionally, the visitor will be able to make use of gastronomies: Pizza Hut, Burger King, Subway and more.

Cheaper alternative

Knowing the area where the mall was being constructed, project management decided to profile the mall as cheaper alternative to more expensive Baltic Gallery located nearby.
