The most awaited museum in Tricity is opening to the public next week. Visitors are invited to Museum of the Second World War from Wednesday, March the 23rd.

The story of a global conflict

The Museum tells a story in a complex, yet detailed way. First of all, it presents the touching picture of an interior captured on three stages of the war. Following, the visitors learn about the background of the conflict, as well as the political systems gaining power before 1939. Afterwards, the path follows through different theatres and stages of the war. The Museum of the Second World War depicts this global conflict by telling the stories of individuals, groups and nations.  As a result, the visitors can feel compassion and empathy. Therefore the exhibition creates much deeper experience and touches the guests.

Mission and purpose

The museum presents the tragic experiences of Poland and other countries of East-Central Europe. There is apt reason for such a depiction as those countries have experienced the horrors of war in a different manner than the countries of West Europe. What is also noteworthy is that the museum focuses on stories of individuals, societies and nations. This approach is most certainly going to be very appealing and touching. It is also going to pass the true tragedy of the great conflict – individual dramas often forgotten by history books.
