Independence Run to celebrate National event

Almost 5500 people took part in main run of the Independence Run organized in Gdynia. Thousand others were supporting on the streets of Gdynia. The running event was organized to commemorate the Independence Day celebrated on 11th November in Poland.

Huge amount of participants

5500 runners took part in the main run which covered a distance of 10 km. Taking into consideration all other, smaller runs organized in connection with the Independence Day in Gdynia, more than 7300 participants appeared ready to run through the streets of Gdynia. Among them were people of different ages and backgrounds. All united by passion and struggling with cold weather. The oldest man starting in the run was born in 1934 and the oldest woman in 1936. Those became the most cheered participants of the race.

The winner from Władysławowo

The open category was won by Tomasz Grycko from Władysławowo, who ended the race in less than half an hour. The first woman on the finish line was Aleksandra Lisowska from Olsztyn, who finished the race in 00:34:58. The seniors ended the race around 1:25:00.
