This weekend is all about Swietojanska Night – traditional Slavic celebration of the summer solstice. It is also the first weekend after school year end so we can expect an abundance of various events.
Music
Do you need a bit of color in your life? We’ll roll out the red carpet for you at the 7th edition of Color Festival, which takes place at 3 pm on Sunday at Plac Zebran Ludowych in Gdańsk. Every hour there will be explosion of colorful Holi powder and wonderful energy. In addition to that, you can listen to great music (DJ Arennie, DJ Verossi, DJ Late At Night, B.R.O, Route 11, Kayah), take part in a sack race, chill surrounded by nature or taste delicious sweets prepared by Wawel.
Summer starts #inGdynia
Cudawianki 2019 will also be a great beginning of vacation if you want to enjoy more than live music. At the Midtown Beach in Gdynia will perform: Need More Clouds, Gutek, Marika, and Dub FX & Mr. Woodnote. There will also be plenty of workshops about eco-friendly lifestyle and Gdynia e.g. making kites, turbans, coronets as well as many opportunities to actively spend this Saturday: Zumba, Hula dance and more.
Music events will take place in Sopot too. One of the most interesting is two hours long performance of almost 30 artists – Queen Symphonically. At 8 pm on Sunday in Opera Leśna, you can enjoy pieces of timeless Queen in symphonic arrangements. Tickets cost 59-149 zlotys.
Sport
If you aren’t a sporty person don’t think of skipping this part! Polish Nationwide Ballroom Dance Competition. Grand Prix of Poland is waiting for you. It’s a daylong event for dance fans who want to admire famous professional dancers. It takes place in Game Hall GCS (Olimpijska 5 in Gdynia) on 22nd of June. Watching these amazing performances won’t demand any manual effort of supporters as long as you won’t fall in love with dancing by yourself!
Contemplating skyline of sleeping Gdynia from biker’s perspective sounds like an appealing idea to you? XIII Night Bicycle Ride in Gdynia will implement it at 9 pm on Friday. Don’t forget about your bicycle lights!
XXII Janusz Sidła Sopot Grand Prix is track and field competition, which will take place on Stadion Leśny ( Józefa Wybickiego 48/50) at 5 pm. on Sunday. If you’re interested in athletics as well as want to enjoy incredible sportsmen, you cannot miss it!

Vintage Market is going to be an original meeting of retro and vintage style fans. Jewels like clothes, shoes, and accessories will be waiting for you on Sunday (12 am. – 6 pm.) on Jerzego Popiełuszki 5 in Gdańsk.
Almost 25 market stands will open on Grodowy Fair 2019 in Grodzisko (Jana Jerzego Haffnera 63) in Sopot. Handicrafts like toys, cosmetics, food or jewelry in the Middle Ages atmosphere will be available from 12 am to 5 pm on the 21st-22nd of June.
