Arka Gdynia SSA won against polish champion Legia Warszawa 3:1! For Arka it was the first ever victory in Warsaw.

Unforgettable game

Yesterday’s match Arka’s fans will not forget any time soon. To be fair Legia’s coach made 10 changes in the squad in comparison to the last match. Clearly Legia chose to focus on the Champions League play-off match on Tuesday.

Arka’s fans could not think of a better way to begin a match – in 6th minute after a little bit of chaos Marcus da Silva scored his 43rd goal for Arka. In 20th minute Marcus passed to Adam Marciniak who scored his first goal for Arka in Ekstraklasa. In the first half the Yellow & Blue’s had some good situations to score but after 45 minutes it was still 2:0 for Arka.

Two goals for Arka were not enough and in the second half Arka’s players were fighting for more. In 58th minute Marciniak scored his second goal of the evening and Arka was leading 3:0. Few minutes later Legia managed to score a goal, but it was all they were able to achieve yesterday night.

Legia fans disappointed

The match ended 3:1 for team from Gdynia and fans from Warsaw were not happy about it and booing as their team left the stadium.

Arka’s players are coming back to Gdynia with 3 points and at least until today evening, they are the leaders of LOTTO Ekstraklasa.
