One of the biggest sport events in Tricity started in Gdynia yesterday from the competition of young ones.
Competitions
Today we can see the whole Ironman village being build in the center of Gdynia to make it ready for competitors of two categories:
Sprint – a triathlon category containing 0,75km of swimming, 20km of cycling and 5km of running. The competition starts today at 10:00.
Ironman 70.3 – very difficult and demanding triathlon category with 1,9km of swimming, 90km of cycling and 21,1km of running. Competition in this main category will take place tomorrow (Sunday) from 8:00 am.
Prestigious sport event, big names
Herbalife Ironman 70.3 Gdynia is one of the most prestigious triathlon event in the world. This year organizers received a record of 46 admissions from PRO IRONMAN triathlon competitors. Names like Joe Skipper or Diana Riesler are well known for those who follow this sport.
