A very exciting project is launching in Radio Gdansk this Saturday. Good Morning Gdansk is the first ever bilingual radio show in Tricity. Tune 103.7 FM on Saturdays at 11:00 to enjoy the programme in English. Together with hosts – Ewelina Potocka and Chris Farman, we warmly invite you to tune up and enjoy the show!
First ever bilingual radio show in Tricity
The idea for the programme comes from the need. Though every year more and more foreigners come to live, work and study in Poland, there aren’t many English channels of information. The pieces they receive are usually in Polish which creates a language barrier. Looking at the channels of daily news in Poland, most of the biggest information websites are not available in English. We are very happy that Radio Gdansk joins Tricity News in the effort to fill in the need of English information.
The audience
The project will mainly try to reach all kinds of foreigners staying in Poland. It will, however, be also beneficial for the Polish people wanting to engage with English and to increase their language skills. The audience will have a chance to interact live on air with the hosts via text messaging and social media.
Topics
The hosts promise to keep topics always interesting and exciting. They will revolve around challenges foreigners may meet in Poland, culture, news etc. There will also be a chance of choosing the topic in advance. This Saturday, the main theme will be New Year’s Resolutions.
Hoping for more
As for now, there will be one show every Saturday at 11:00 am. The creators hope however, that this will increase fast with the prospect of the show going live also during week days.
Let’s all meet in front of our radios on Saturday at 11:00 am for the first ever bilingual radio show in Tricity! You can also listen to it online at radiogdansk.pl Good Morning Gdansk!
