Gdansk Tattoo Convention 2017 takes place in Gdansk this weekend. Hundreds of tattoo artists as well as thousands of visitors have come to Amber Expo hall to enjoy the artistic weekend. It is the 22nd edition of this nationwide, lifestyle event.
A unique event
Tattoo Convention is unique in its format, because it combines the elements of a fair, cultural festival and music festival. It is a festival of art, inspiration and sneak-peaking at the work of the best tattoo artists. The exhibition area of the festival hosts more than 300 tattoo artists. Additionally, there are workshops where everyone can learn the art of tattooing and discuss the ideas. One can also buy specialized equipment or simply try to make an own tattoo on a banana peel.
Everyone can get a tattoo
People who are tattoo enthusiasts and would like to get a professional tattoo, can get one during the convention. The artists gathered at the event can help by discussing the design, giving some tips, and making the tattoo. All tattoos made during the Tattoo Convention can become a part of the festival contest. During the contest, professional jury is going to choose the best tattoos in 12 categories.
Additional attractions
The visitors of the festival can enjoy much more than live tattoo art. Many hip-hop celebrities attend the festival annually. The entertainment program includes a lot of attractions such as the extreme show, dance shows and the illusion tricks show. The visitors can also enjoy shopping for clothes and accessories. Others may like the exhibition of old school cars. The kids find their entertainment in the children space supervised by animators. Finally if anyone gets hungry during the festival – the food truck zone awaits with lots of delicious food.
Tickets
Children up to 12 years of age and 60+ seniors enter the event for free. One-day tickets costs 45 PLN and can be purchased before entering the festival.
