This summer is especially abundant in attractions. Just a week ago we could enjoy one of the most spectacular airshows in Poland – Aerobaltic 2019. According to the organizers, there were more than 300 000 spectators of the event. They gathered both at the Kosakowo airport and at the main beach in Gdynia.
Nearly 150 machines
The visitors could see 60 planes flying above their heads throughout the weekend. Additionally, there were nearly 90 machines at the static exhibition at Kosakowo. Almost 90 crews from different corners of the world participated in the event. The visitors could enjoy shows by teams from the United States, Saudi Arabia, Sweden, Finland, Lithuania, Great Britain, and Ukraine. There were also the most popular Polish teams with Zelazny, Firebirds, and Orlik. All kinds of flying machines appeared in the sky above Gdynia. All in all, there were 20 hours of shows.
Night Shows
Traditionally, the key moment of Aerobaltic was the night show close to the Seaside Boulevard in Gdynia. As in the previous years, this part of the event gathered a huge number of spectators. People came to enjoy the spectacular mixture of aerobatics, music, and pyrotechnics.
Attractions for whole families
As in previous years, whole families could enjoy Aerobaltic 2019. There were many attractions for kids, who could, among others, participate in a young pilot’s academy. Fans could meet the pilots, take a photo together, get an autograph or have a chat with them.
Getting ready for the next year
Maciej Stroinski – the spokesman for LOTOS Gdynia Aerobaltic said that the 2019 event has become an unforgettable show. The organizers are already starting to plan an even more interesting 2020 edition.
We are definitely looking forward to the next summer when we will be able to report Aerobaltic 2020 for you.
