Some of us still have vivid memories of the recent edition of Open’er Festival. In the recent week Alter Art, the organizer of the festival made two exciting announcements. Knowing who is playing at Open’er Festival 2018 on Friday and Saturday, we are looking forward to this event even more!
Open’er Festival
Open’er Festival is an annual music holiday taking place in Gdynia since 2003. The first editions took place at Kosciuszki Square. Soon the area became too small though and the festival moved to Babie Doly-Kosakowo airport. During those years Open’er hosted the world’s biggest music stars such as Prince, Coldplay, Sex Pistols, Muse, Placebo and many more. The festival is open to a variety of music styles and became a unique event gathering thousands of fans. The previous edition of the festival assembled some 120.000 people who often traveled long distances to get to Tricity. We are sure Open’er 2018 will also attract a huge number of music fans.
Friday with Gorillaz
Last Tuesday Alter Art informed that they had begun announcing the artists for Open’er Festival 2018. Shortly after, the subscribers received information about the first headliner. Friday, July the 6th, the audience will spend with the world’s most successful virtual band – Gorillaz.
The band debuted in 2001 and since that time they have been proving to be a unique act. They sold some 6 million copies of their first album. However their biggest success came in 2005 after publishing Demon Days. The band is well known for their memorable performances. We can’t wait to see what Gorillaz will show in Gdynia.
Saturday with Bruno Mars
Still excited after the announcement about Gorillaz as the first headliner of Open’er Festival 2018, nobody expected the news which came on Thursday. Namely that on Saturday, July the 7th, the festival audience will enjoy the concert of Bruno Mars!
The second headliner of the festival is a singer, songwriter, producer and a musician who sold over 170 million singles worldwide. Bruno Mars is one of the most recognizable artists gathering millions of fans at his concerts. He also made history in 2014 when performing an amazing NFL Super Bowl Halftime Show. In 2016 he released the album 24K Magic. This most popular artist of our times and award winner is definitely one of the most joyful announcements Alter Art could make.
Tickets
The Early Bird tickets are in sale until December 15th, 2017.
4 days ticket costs 499 PLN, the ticket with camping costs 579 PLN. Those who want to see Gorillaz and Bruno Mars can do it also with weekend tickets which cost 379 PLN or 439 PLN with camping.
The tickets are available at ALTERSKLEP and at eBilet. The number of special price tickets is limited, but Alter Art assures there’re at least 10.000.
