The biggest sailing event in Poland begins on Monday, the 25th of June. Volvo Gdynia Sailing Days is a prestigious and spectacular event for all lovers of water and wind. More than 2000 participants will compete in various categories during this 3 week event at Gdansk Bay.
Volvo Gdynia Sailing Days
Gdynia hosts the biggest sailing event in Poland for the 19th time. Volvo Gdynia Sailing Days is a well known event not only for the citizens of Tricity. Tourists and guests come to Gdynia especially during this time to enjoy the maritime atmosphere. The event is also constantly growing. Since the previous edition, it lasts for 3 weeks. Before, it used to last for about 10 days.
Additionally, the event is also growing when it comes to the number of participants. This year more than 2000 sailors from different parts of the world will come to Gdynia to compete in 18 categories.

During Volvo Gdynia Sailing Days 2018, we will witness many cups and championships. The most important as well as interesting are multiple international cups.

Many attractions on the land
Volvo Gdynia Sailing Days are not only competitions on water. Visitors can of course enjoy observing competitors at Gdansk Bay, but there are also many other attractions. The Sailing Days zone at marina in Gdynia will provide many events on the side of main competitions. Guests will have the opportunity to meet sailors and talk to them.
Additionally, there will be a fun zone at the main beach in Gdynia. Organizers promise many attractions including sport tournaments for kids and adults as well as theatres for kids and many more.
Sailing Film Festival
In addtion to all attractions during Volvo Gdynia Sailing Days, enthusiasts will enjoy the Sailing Film Festival. From the 29th of June to 15th of July Gdynia Film Centre will screen movies about sailing.
