Technikalia, time to relax for students

Last year there was a corporate bath of student on the streets of Gdansk and concerts of very well knows bands in Poland such as Laki Lan and Happy Sad, what this years’ edition is going to bring us?

About the festival

Technikalia is a festival organized by the University of Technology in Gdansk and their Students Government. The festival will last for 7 days, from the 6th to the 12th of May.

Additional events

On the 10th at 9am, Wednesday, you can participate in a day of sport in Centrum Sportu Akademickiego. Later on that day there’s going to be an open-air movie theater. On the 11th, Thursday, at 2pm you can have a chance to take part in an integration of colleges and watch let’s play concerts with electric grill, at the Gdank University of Technology campus. There’s a chance for you to listen to students bands and Bracia Figo Fagot, who are playing irreverent form of disco polo, a type of music developed in Poland in the 80s.

The main concert

On the big day, the day of the main concert, all the events will take place on Plac Zebran Ludowych. It starts on Friday, the 12th of May from 2pm. The bands that you’re going to be able to hear are Perfect and Hey who are the all-time most popular polish rock bands, Luxtorpeda – playing a very energetic type of rock, Jarecki – a rising star that knows how to rap, and xxanaxx – playing mix of alternative and indie pop music.

Tickets

If you like good music and a positive atmosphere than Technikalia in Gdansk is a place to be. You can buy the tickets on the Gdansk University of Technology campus, or online on eventim.pl and in chosen shops, such as Empik, MediaMarkt or Saturn. There is a last chance to get the tickets for 5 PLN if you’re a student, then until the 12th of may the tickets will cost 10 PLN‚ for students and 25 PLN‚ for everyone else.
