Social English Night is a 90 minutes event with English and coffee. No Polish language is allowed!

A friendly meeting in English

If you are looking for an opportunity to speak English, spend time with other English speakers and meet new friends, this event is for you. Social English Night is a weekly event organized in three locations: Gdynia, Gdansk and Warsaw. The main focus of the meeting is breaking language barriers and helping people to express themselves in English.

The formula

In the first stage of the meeting, a person from the community gives a speech on the chosen topic. The second stage is a series of “speed dates” in which the conversers change every 5 minutes. In this ample time for everyone to get to know each-other and find people they have common ground all the while feeling at ease and comfortable. The last 20 minutes is a free round of talking in groups. The topics are not forced, so everyone can feel engaged if they desire to do so.

Social English Night is a meeting which brings a lot of benefit to its participants. On the one hand it helps Polish people to develop their language skills and have an opportunity with getting to know a variety of accents. On the other hand, foreigners who come to those meetings can enjoy meeting new people in a friendly, safe atmosphere. It is a good place to feel like home and to find friends in the new place of living.
