In the fifth round of LFA (American Football League), Seahawks Gdynia are hosting Warsaw Sharks. Come and enjoy the highest level of American Football in Poland.
The most titled team in Poland
Seahawks Gdynia are the most titled team in Poland. The team won Polish Championship three times in history (2012, 2014 and 2015). Four other times Seahawks played in the final of the league coming in second place. The history of the club dates back to 2006 making it one of the oldest American Football teams in Poland.
American Football League
In November 2017, new American Football League (pol. Liga Futbolu Amerykanskiego) came to existence in Poland. The league gathers 20 teams in 2 competition levels. The biggest and the best teams play within LFA 1. Teams divide into three groups depending on their level and achievements. The strongest group A consists of Panthers Wroclaw, Seahawks Gdynia, Lowlanders Bialystok and Tychy Falcons. Group B are Warsaw Sharks, AZS UMW Olsztyn Lakers, Rhinos Wyszkow and Angels Torun. Krakow Kings, AZS Silesia Rebels, Wilki Lodzkie as well as Patriots Poznan are going to play within Group C. After matches in the main part of the season, the best teams will enter the cup phase of the season.
Two best teams from Group A will automatically advance to semi-finals of the league. Teams 3 and 4 from the best group are going to fight for Wild Cards with winners of groups B and C. The final of the league will take place in Wroclaw at the end of July.
An event for the whole family
American Football games in Poland are very friendly family events. Teams are organizing extra activities for kids as well as contests for the public. During the halftime, supporters can enjoy some meals from food trucks. The atmosphere is always very good and safe.
Tickets and prices
Everyone is wholeheartedly invited to come and see Seahawks Gdynia fighting for entering the cup phase of the league. Entrance is free, so all you have to do is come to the National Rugby Stadium.
