In the 16th round of Lotto Ekstraklasa, Lechia Gdansk will be playing a home game at the Energa stadium in Gdańsk against Jagiellonia Bialystok.
Lotto Ekstraklasa
Lotto Ekstraklasa is the highest Polish football league. There are 16 teams playing within the league. Each team plays 37 games during the season. The league exists since 1919. The current champion of the highest Polish league is Legia Warsaw, which has won the title 13 times.
Lechia Gdansk
The football club was set up in 1945 in Gdansk. It was first named „Balta” as it was set up as a Sports Club that belonged to the „Rebuilding of Ports Office”. The name changed to „Lechia” in 1948 though. The White and Greens got the first promotion to play in the 1st league in 1948. Since then the club has been falling down and getting promoted several times. Club’s largest success to this day was in 1956. When they ended the season in the third place in the table.
Stadium
Lechia Gdansk plays on the „Energa Stadium” in Gdansk. It’s a big stadium which can hold up to 41620 people. The stadium was built in 2008-2011. The cost of building this stadium added up to 863 mln PLN. Both people from Tricity and visitors claim this might be the most beautiful stadium in Poland. It is definitely worth seeing and visiting.
Tickets
There’s a huge range of tickets so the cost varies depending on the seat you choose and on the type of your ticket. The prices start at 25 PLN for adults and 15 PLN for students, children under the age of 13 and people over 60. Children under the age of 6 go in for free. There are a lot of discounts you can get if you have a membership card or buy a ticket for multiple matches.
