Lechia Gdańsk – Górnik Łęczna

In the 17th round of Lotto Ekstraklasa (Polish Extra League), Lechia Gdansk will play home match against Górnik Łęczna.
Lotto Ekstraklasa is the highest Polish football league. There are 16 teams playing within the league. Seasons start in late June and end in May or June the following year. There are 37 games played by each team. The league has existed since 1919. Current champion of the highest Polish league is Legia Warsaw, which won the title 11 times.
The club was established in 1945 and from the very beginning it was represented by two colors: white and green.
Lechia Gdansk is the biggest football club in Tricity. The team is playing in the highest Polish league since 2008. Since 2011 Lechia Gdansk has been playing at one of the most beautiful stadiums in Europe – Energa Gdansk Stadium. The biggest success of the team was the 3rd place in the highest Polish league what was achieved in 1956. Lechia also won the Polish Cup in 1983.
In season 16/17 Lechia is playing to achieve the highest goals from the very beginning. The team is fighting at the top of the table to win the championship or to qualify to the European tournaments.
Lechia Gdansk plays at the Energa Gdansk stadium, which was build in 2011 as one of the stadiums for EURO 2012. The stadium can host up to 43 615 supporters. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful stadiums in Europe. Energa Gdansk stadium is the largest football arena in Lotto Ekstraklasa and the third biggest stadium in Poland.
The tickets for matches cost from 25 PLN to 70 PLN for adults. Kids up to 6 years old enter matches for free. There are also discounts for kids and teenagers until the age of 16, students and those who are over 60 years old.
