The match between Finland and Estonia had all chances to become a spectacle with an amazing atmosphere. The Uralic Brothers match opened the championships in Tricity. Both nations gathered in great numbers to support their nations and the atmosphere they created was indeed great. Some 5000 spectators came to Ergo Arena to see the game. The fans from Estonia organized a special parade from the beach to the stadium announcing their arrival at the game. The spirit of friendship filled the arena even before the team arrived at the court.
Estonians cheering despite the result
Many teams could only dream about such fans as the national team of Estonia has. The crowd of 3000 people was continuously supporting their team throughout the whole game. Even during the problematic first two sets of the match, the fans believed in their players.
