During the last two months we were very happy to share some announcements from Alter Art. At the end of October the fans received the first treat. Bruno Mars and Gorillaz became the first headliners of the upcoming festival. Shortly after that, in November, we received yet another breathtaking announcement. Depeche Mode became the third headliner of the festival. Today, we would like to summarize news from the previous week. Alter Art shared information about six new artists to perform during Open’er Festival 2018 in Gdynia.

Massive Attack

Massive Attack are a British group which dates back to the late 80’s. They debuted with their first album Blue Lines in 1991. They represent trip hop and received many awards like MTV Europe Music Awards, The Brit Award or Q Awards. The band has a lot of fans worldwide and they will definitely add to the atmosphere of this year’s festival.

An additional interesting fact is that there are many claims connecting one of the members – Robert Del Naja with graffiti artist Banksy. Will we see another piece of artwork on the streets of Tricity this summer?

Fleet Foxes

The American band originating from Seattle represents indie folk. They begun their career as a group in 2006. However it was their debut album Fleet Foxes which helped them to reach popularity. They stand out thanks to delivering something different than all the other bands. Their peaceful compositions including traditional American folk music gather many fans at their concerts. We are looking forward to hearing them during Open’er Festival 2018.

David Byrne

We all know the legendary band Talking Heads. This is also how we mainly know David Byrne. He was the leader of the famous American band. However his musical contribution is much bigger. Throughout the years he focused on collaborations cooperating with Fatboy Slim, Brian Eno and many others. He definitely is an artist who can show many faces.
